After a detour through the world of film and television, Finn returned to the original plan of illustrating. He graduated from Bath Spa University (now Bath School of Design) with first-class honours.

​

He is currently scribbling away in his sketchbook in a cottage in the magical East Sussex countryside.

• House of Illustration and Folio Book Prize 2012 - illustrating Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World, also shortlisted in the V&A Illustration Awards

• The Observer and Jonathan Cape short graphic story competition 2007 - runner-up for 'The Waitress'

• Society of Artists Agents Illustration Awards 2004 - gold
